Cap de Creus is located in the northern part of Costa Brava and a protected area and considered under the natural park. Cap de Creus areas includes Pau, roses, El Port de la Selva, Cadaques, La Selva de Mar, Palau-saverdera and Vilajuiga. The area has deep waters, abrupt coast, high cliffs, reefs of rocks, forest inland; clear blue water, hidden bays, and some parts are the chosen habitat of birds. The only reserve in the Spanish Mediterranean with both land and sea protected area. There are some nature made shapes that you should take note of whenever you are in the area. They shapes are referred to as “the lion of cap gros” and “the eagle of Tudela”.
Another much loved activity in the area is scuba diving in Cap de Creus due to its very clear water. There is less pollution in the area because it is protected. In fact, commercial fishing is prohibited except for a few small fisher men aloud to fish i the area bringing with then small fishing net.
Excursions are also another activity; there are boat operators that offer such services. One advantage for going to excursions in Cap de Creus is that it is the only time that you will enjoy the beauty of the island from another vantage point. The entirely of this reserve place strikes visitors and encourages them to take picture to preserve such beauty. Even tourist with small camera takes pictures to show to friends the beauty of the place.
A museum may perhaps take your notice and with it came a small bar sheltered from strong winds. This is one restaurant that you will experience the Catalunya culture and of course expects the restaurant to open at 2 in the afternoon during Sundays. And another expectation is the presence of some locals in the area. This made the whole experience more memorable.
