Spices in Travel to Costa Brava

Monday, October 5th, 2009

Every travel brings different memories but my Costa Brava holiday brought so many unique experiences that I meant to treasure. I have to admit I loved my travel in Costa Brava for I love the food I ate during our 4 days of stay there. Perhaps the saying, “the way to a man’s heart is through stomach” is applicable in this sense. Besides the food that I loved are the sights that dazzles everyone in our group.

We are so lucky to have a local join us in our travel. A friend’s friend joins us in touring the city thus she translated most scripts and description we found in a La Jonquera. Without her, we would not be able to appreciate the beauty of the history and story behind the Catalan written scripts. It indeed made a difference for our Costa Brava travel.

Our Costa Brava hotel also serves free breakfast thus we enjoy a very square Spanish meal before heading to the Costa Brava destinations. The hotel cook usually serves us our favorite enormous serving of pesto with overflowing goat cheese. And usually end our meal with a variety of ice cream or vegetables. On the next day our buffet table is lined up with meat, pastries, cheese and again more vegetables.

Our itinerary also included a trip to the three locations of the Dali Museums thus we saw a range of different local sceneries. From Cathedrals, Arab Baths, Jewish museums and quarters and towns. Sad to say we do not have the time to spend time at the world-class golf clubs though we got to get a glimpse of literally.

We also enjoyed the human towers or the Castelles. It took a lot of prodding from friends for me to take an ounce of courage to climb those human towers. From the view at the bottom the towers already look so tall much more if you are looking down from the top.

Right every Costa Brava destinations that we visited. We also look forward to going home on our accommodation for a rest and the most awaited breakfast meals. The spices of travel lie on the very destination itself.

Romantic Vacation in Costa Brava

Monday, July 27th, 2009

Costa Brava Romantic TravelCosta Brava is a hub of romantic and luxury hotels that couples can choose for their romantic vacation. Romance and the activities that go with it really vary from different couples.

Costa Brava bed and & breakfast hotels are sculpted to make every romance memorable and once in a lifetime experience. Yes, the back drop is just perfect. Romance for me is walking hand in hand with my partner and talking about histories and artifacts in The Figueres. Or perhaps we just wanted to lie down in a private cove and enjoy the sun and sand together or walk together while the sun is setting behind us- would The L’Escala be perfect for such?

History gallivanting, I wanted to know who dated whom during the Jews, Arab and Romans invasion of Costa Brava, Girona and Montserrat perhaps can give answers to this romantic cravings. And after an afternoon of resting on shady part of the beach perhaps we can dressed up and join some locals in the celebration of life. I would just love to join the many Spanish locals as they go to tapa bars.

With romance there is an element of color, and I wish to take pictures with my partner in the middle of the field of colorful flowers or the endless green colors of grasses of mountains- El Cabo de Creus is the answer to that.

The sea that almost surrounds Costa Brava is just an ideal destination for romance and hideaways. I conceived ideas of sounds like the chirping of the birds and the gentle wooshing of the waves that gently lulls and wakes up me from sleep.

With no worries of expensive charges and costly vacation fees; Costa Brava caters to all romantic couples from the posh and the budgeted couple traveler. Every romantic dream comes true in Costa Brava.

Costa Brava Travel, Spain’s Best

Thursday, June 11th, 2009

Costa Brava was included as one of the destinations to be promoted for summer deals; a project by the Spanish Tourism Organization that has pledged and allotted a 4 million euros budget for the promotions of certain Spain summer travel destination like Costa Brava. Spanish Hoteliers in this Spanish region also dropped hotel prices as low as 25% to remain competitive for the tourist market.

One thing that caught my attention in Costa Brava is the presence of fishing boats and the fishing industry by some magic perhaps or play of fate- this wild Spanish coast has preserved its fishing heritage from its ancestors plus its natural air of authenticity in that part of the Mediterranean coast.

Peratallada street still bear some resemblance of the ‘past’ features of Costa Brava because of the presence of ancient buildings and houses. If you know Costa Brava do not leave until you shake the hands of Salvador Dali and his works at Cadaques. A visit to his home may take hours so prepare to make a visit to Dali’s home a priority on your itinerary. Cadaques beaches are also a haven to explore. You won’t be disappointed to swim in clear blue water. Cadaques does not also lack restaurants for tourist to enjoy, try La Sirena.

And as you strut to another Costa Brava travel itinerary then perhaps drop by in a shop who sells earrings, necklaces, bracelets, anklets and other body ornaments from beach pebbles decorated with silver ornaments, ropes and other materials. Believe me the accessories here are really cute and good for souvenirs.

Shops and postcards are also available in pals. Millions of sun flowers will greet you in an outlying area of Castello d’Empuries. Yes, this is a sight that would entrance every photographer and nature lover. Children would just love to play for a while in a playground located in Castello d’Empuries.

Costa Brava to my surprise has so many unwrap surprises and it just take a little resourcefulness to find them.
