And today, it will be their 100 years of celebrating the event. If you asked why they celebrated this kind of event yearly, because the fact is Costa Brava is known as the center of culture and arts. The celebration mostly showcases fine dining, exhibitions and concerts. Tourists from all over the world are expected to witness this yearly event of Costa Brava.

Of all the costas of Spain, Costa Brava has been known as the most fascinating costas. It is the favorite place of most of the local artists. Historically, the journalist in the persona of Ferran Agulló made an article about Costa Brava’s long stretch of beaches (1,240 mile) he then referred it as the wild coast of Costa Brava. Me, My Wife and Our Costa Brava Holiday

Costa Brava BeachSo our wedding anniversary is coming near and I planned a great surprise for my wife. Everything is set from our flights and to the destination. Everything is already ironed out. I am planning to take my wife for a vacation without her knowing that we will be going there. How to do that? That with the connivance of a few friends and a family member.

Two before our wedding anniversary, and by the way we are already 30 years married, my wife travel to Costa Brava for a very important and emergency family affair and that is a big thank you to her little sister who was the best actress in all this surprise. She was very hesitant for our anniversary is indeed coming and it would be the first time that she will be away and will spend the day without me during our anniversary. Yet, with some prodding she ended up staying in a Costa Brava luxury spanish villla. The villa is actually so big and complete with services from cook to laundry person.

Without her knowledge I was waiting already on the other room. So that night I told her that since is away it is better if we chatted and talk over chat. So we spend saying i love and goodnight. The next day, she was literally dragged by her little sister to the beach without yet giving the reason for her stay in Spain.

Again we talked over lunch over our planned last minute holiday to celebrate our anniversary and we are saying we will catch up on the lost time as soon as she finishes her business inn Spain. She slept early for she was very tired with her beach hopping in the beaches of Costa Brava.

A few hours before the clock strikes 12 midnight that would start our anniversary. The whole luxury spanish villa was filled with scented lighted candle with rose petals. And yellow petal from a sunflower where spread from the foot bed to a room that I am waiting.

Without hastily waking her…the band I hired played her favorite songs and it slowly floated to her bedroom which slowly awakens her. She was surprise to find her bed with scattered rose petals and she followed the path of the yellow petals of the sunflower.

When the sunflower trail ended her eyes slowly went up and met mine. Right there and then she burst into tears and run into my arms. Oblivious of the orchestra playing in our background we hugged and kissed each other as if tomorrow will end.

Me, my wife spent a two week holiday in Costa Brava. Every nook and cranny being visited and pictured.
