Costa Brava is in the region of Catalonia, in the northeastern part of Spain. This coastline stretches from the north of Barcelona, which is Blanes and near the French Border, to Roses. The scenery in this coast is breathtaking; you can see the mountain cliffs and coves. The place is also as breathtaking as its sceneries; it also has the remnants of the Greeks and the Romans, in its town and villages. You will find the thirteenth century cathedral and you can also visit some museums and many others. This is one of the best getaway destinations in Spain; a number of resorts are lined up and hotels are a plenty so need not worry on where to stay.
In Roses, it still has a secluded beaches, it is in the town of Cadaques. Roses is the most popular and the biggest resort in the northern part of Costa Brava. This is near the French Border, about thirty kilometers. This was an old fishing port and now has managed to become one of the summer destinations in Europe. In the southern part of Roses, there is the Estartit. You will find yachts in its harbor and this quaint resort is perfect for families and their children. The place overlooks the Seven Medes Islands in the Western Mediterranean and is one of the important marine reserves. There is the Tossa de Mara; it is a fourteen-kilometer of a coastline and with nice beaches and coves. This is where you will find the statue of the actress Ava Gardner. This was the place where they filmed the movie The Flying Dutchman in the 1950s. You will also find the historical defense walls and towers of the old quarter of Villa Vella and many others. Costa Brava like the other famous Spanish coastal cities has plenty of activities, sights and accommodations that it can offer to tourists.
